Jensen holds a BFA from the University of Utah, and an MA and MFA from the University of California, Berkeley. He has taught sculpture at the California College of the Arts for more than 25 years, as well as at the University of California, Berkeley, San Jose State University, the University of Montana, and the University of Utah. He has received a National Endowment for the Arts apprentice grant and the SECA Award from the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. His work has been published and reviewed extensively in major periodicals and publications, and he has exhibited work in galleries and museums throughout the United States. His work is also in permanent collections in public and private spaces around the world.
